Kabali, the new film featuring Indian superstar Rajinikanth, opened across the globe on July 22, setting box-office records. Directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu under his V Creations banner, the movie pioneered the use of Qube Wire to issue over 18,000 KDMs (Key Delivery Messages) worldwide in over 3,500 screens across 2,400 sites.

Qube Wire is a technology for the distribution of DCPs (Digital Cinema Packages) across the world in a uniform and scalable manner. It helps remove the pain points of KDM management and DCP duplication and delivery while reducing costs. Its easy-to-use, secure web interface allows content owners and distributors to select theatres and send their content and keys. It efficiently handles content upload and management as well as long-term archival. Other patent-pending features include the ability to assign movie rights to specific territories and enforce multi-level approvals for KDM requests.

Qube Wire combines both online and physical delivery to make the service available over a wider region, while centrally managing data flow.

Kabaliproducer Thaanu stated, “I was amazed at the ease of use of Qube Wire and how well it has handled the scale of this movie’s release. Kudos to the Qube team for this pioneering product, which I believe is quite revolutionary.”
